Today's enthusiast-grade hardware takes PC gaming to new heights. But a last-gen power supply unit (PSU) might not be able to keep up with the power demands of a new CPU and GPU. And if it's a low-efficiency unit, it'll waste lots of energy in the process, creating excessive heat, undue fan noise, and an unwelcome increase to your power bill. That's why we're creating the new ROG Strix Platinum PSU Series, the ideal power supply for gaming PC setups. These high-efficiency power supplies, which come in 1200W, 1000W, and 850W formats, raise the bar with lower connection temperatures, intelligent wattage delivery, ATX 3.1 compatibility, and a hefty 10-year warranty — because when you buy a Platinum Series PSU, you’re getting no less than a decade’s worth of unrivaled performance.

ROG Strix Platinum Series: intelligently designed, efficiently operated

The Platinum Series is ready to power any rig you can assemble, no matter what kind of graphics card (GPU) you put under the hood. That’s where the GPU-FIRST intelligent voltage stabilizer comes into play. It ensures that even an overclocked graphics card always has the stable power flow it needs to perform at peak capacity during intense gaming sessions, providing 45% more stable flow to the GPU versus without the stabilizer. And if you prefer a classical CPU-focused voltage sensor, you can disconnect the Strix Platinum series’ IVS cable.

ROG Strix Platinum PSUs, the ideal power supply for PC gaming, feature a gallium nitride (GaN) MOSFET that pushes the needle in power efficiency, reducing energy waste and boosting optimized power delivery by up to 30% over last gen. Plus, the GaN MOSFET’s small size enables a simplified internal layout that provides more space for better heat dissipation, heavy-duty heatsinks, and superior airflow.

The dual ball bearings on the PSU fan feature a lifespan of up to 80,000 hours, ensuring your power supply will keep going no matter how much you game. And when the PSU load is at 40% or lower with 0dB mode enabled, the fan will intelligently deactivate after achieving safe temperatures to keep your rig as quiet as possible. Even when not in 0dB mode, the ROG Strix 1000W Platinum emits less than 20dB of noise — a low enough value to earn it an A+ Cybenetics Lambda certification, signifying an exceptionally quiet operational volume.

This PSU series also packs 80 PLUS Platinum certification, meaning that whether it's a light load or you’re slamming your system, you always get at least 89% efficiency, with high-end Japanese capacitors that can last up to twice as long as standard caps. Remember, the Platinum rating means less energy waste, less heat to dissipate, and, consequently, quieter fans, on top of a lower energy bill. And the series' upgraded PCIe connectors' high-performance copper pins mean superior thermal conductivity and reduced connector temperatures.

Power supply units built for builders

Modular philosophy is a key part of what makes the Strix Platinum Series a next-generation power solution. With our flexible etched modular cables, expect easy installation and organization. And forget about thermal worries; these cables operate up to 50°C below the safety limit. On that same note, the cables sport UL758 certification and meet the UL1581 flame test’s standards, meaning DIY gaming PC builders can trust that no matter how their setup looks, the Strix Platinum will fulfill their needs in a way that’s safe and sustainable.

Another DIY-PC-builder perk we’ve integrated into the Platinum Series is its distinct CPU power cable, featuring a unique color scheme and special clip that makes it easy to identify. This way, you won’t have to wonder which cable is meant to go to the processor. Instead, you’ll be able to glance at it, know where it goes, and get your custom rig up and running with ease.

One last perk we’ve snuck in with the Platinum Series are ROG Strix stickers so that you can add a bit of custom flair to your PSU, choosing the vibe that best fits your aesthetic preferences. While the sleek, angular PSUs already pack ROG branding to make it clear you game with the best, a little extra color can go a long way toward illustrating your unique style.

ROG Strix Platinum PSUs set a new standard for gaming power supplies

The last thing you want to do with a brand-new powerful CPU or GPU is put it in the unreliable hands of a faltering power supply. Protect your investment with a PSU that’s just as premium as the hardware it powers. Equipped for quiet noise levels, efficient operation, and muscular power delivery, the ROG Strix Platinum PSU series gives you the options you need for your next-gen gaming build.
