Last year saw the release of the ROG ThunderBolt bundled with the Rampage III Black Edition and the Crosshair V Formula to rave reviews. However, the card was only available bundled with the motherboards, and not as a standalone product, much to the chagrin of many a hardcore gamer. The demand was enough to design the first standalone ROG soundcard dubbed the Xonar Phoebus.
