ROG returns to DreamHack Austin
DreamHack fever continues for the Republic of Gamers. We're returning to DreamHack Austin, which goes down April 28th to the 30th.
What is DreamHack Austin?
To say that DreamHack Austin is just a gaming event would be a huge understatement. DreamHack is the largest digital festival around, incorporating esports, cosplay, and all genres of gaming in a single event. You can relax and join a 24-hour LAN party with friends new and old, enter different esports tournaments, explore exhibitor booths, and check out the latest games. These are just some of the many things DreamHack Austin has to offer – the rest you’ll have to find out for yourself.
What are we doing there?
We're making our return to DreamHack Austin with a booth in the exhibitor’s area. Drop by our free-play area, where you can show off your Overwatch and CS:GO skills on our ROG Strix GD30 gaming desktop; G701, GL553, and GL502 gaming laptops; and more. We'll also have a VR station that lets you don an Oculus Rift headset and Touch controllers to compete in 1v1 battles in The Unspoken. The VR station will be powered by our recently released ROG GR8 II portable desktop and the similarly small-form-factor ASUS VivoPC X. We'll have other booth activities during the event, so come by to find out what they are and chill with us.
Special Guests? Swag? Tell me everything!
Besides letting you game on our systems, we're also bringing some special guests to our booth. We're having a meet-and-greet with Widowmaker extraordinaire Kephrii, Echo Fox fighting-game specialist Justin Wong, and NRG Hearthstone player Amnesiac. Come by to say "Hi," ask questions, and get autographs. You'll also be able to play against Justin Wong in Street Fighter V or alongside Kephrii in Overwatch. We'll be handing out some cool ROG swag, as well, so be sure to head over to our booth to see what we've got and how we're giving it away.
When and where is It?
DreamHack Austin is being held at the Austin Convention Center at 500 E. Cesar Chavez St. in Austin, Texas from April 28th to the 30th. If you're unable to attend and want to stay up-to-date on all the latest information, you can follow our DreamHack coverage on Facebook and Twitter.
