Owl up in your Strix, as GTX 1060 gets DirectCU II

A good pun is a satisfying thing, right? The owly-eyes are back as Strix gets a blast of DirectCU II love for(of?) the fans. The new Strix GTX 1060 6GB DirectCU II (STRIX-GTX1060-DC2O6G) has that classic DCII cooler with 0dB fan-stop technology, which shuts off the fans entirely when temps are cool. Fired up, it'll deliver up to 30% cooler temps at three times quieter performance than a reference GTX 1060.

The Strix DCII is much shorter than your average GTX 1060 at just 8.6-inches (21cm) long, yet, gets an OC boost to 1811 MHz in OC mode, and retains the 6GB of 8GHz (effective) GDDR5 memory, making it one of the most powerful, yet small form factor-friendly cards around.

Inside there's the usual DIGI+ VRM and Super Alloy Power hardware that provides longer lasting, reliable and stable power performance, and it's put together with ASUS' Auto-Extreme automation technology. The card draws its power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector to ensure it always has enough juice.

Use the included GPU Tweak software to flick between Gaming and OC Modes, as well as manual overclocking and monitoring of temps and clocks. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b, and one dual-link DVI to enable Nvidia Surround and/or G-SYNC displays and VR applications, where appropriate.

Between new triple-fan Strix with RGB, classic owly Strix, the Dual with white shroud and Turbo with blower fan design, the four choices enable plenty of choice to those looking for the best match GTX 1060 for their build.

This is available in APAC countries (Asia).
