The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is a slim, compact keyboard for on-the-go use

Three years ago, we introduced the ROG Falchion, a 65% keyboard layout with premium finishing and an ultra-compact design perfect for gaming at home or on the road. We built on that foundation with the ROG Falchion NX and the ROG Falchion Ace, but this year, it’s time to take that portability to a whole new level: introducing the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile, an extremely slim keyboard with low-profile optical switches for desktop-class gaming and typing everywhere you go. 

The ultimate compact keyboard

The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile retains the 65% keyboard layout of its predecessor, eschewing the lesser-used function keys and number pad to provide more room for your mouse hand when gaming — and less weight in your backpack on-the-go. We then made it even smaller, compressing those keys into a 60% aluminum frame without compromising comfort and key spacing. 

But it isn’t just about the area of the keyboard deck: as one of the most compact keyboards around, the Falchion RX Low Profile cuts down on height, too, measuring only 26.5mm thick. We achieved this with a new RX Low-Profile Switch design that allows for shorter versions of our UV-coated ABS keycaps, which are more stain-and scratch-resistant than typical double-shot keycaps for a sharp, clean look. All the while, they still retain a smooth desktop feel with 2.8mm of travel. Available in both linear Red and clicky Blue variants, these switches are pre-lubed and provide consistent, wobble-free keystrokes with near-zero debounce delay. This provides quick responsiveness when gaming, and a stable, comfortable typing experience — whether you’re chatting your friends in Discord or putting in a long day at the office. 

Two layers of integrated silicone foam eliminate echoes and ping noises for a truly premium experience, finished with centralized LED lighting for customizable RGB. And if you want the keyboard to sit a little higher without sacrificing portability, two feet along the top allow for three adjustable angles to fit your needs. 

Play your way with tri-mode connectivity

Like many of our other ROG peripherals, the Falchion RX Low Profile features Tri-mode connectivity, allowing for fast, low-latency wireless usage with our 2.4GHz ROG SpeedNova technology as well as Bluetooth and wired USB. The Falchion RX Low Profile can connect to up to three devices simultaneously in Bluetooth mode, allowing for easy swapping as you travel. Meanwhile, the 2.4GHz connection also makes use of our new ROG Omni Receiver, which allows you to connect a supported mouse and keyboard to your PC with a single USB receiver — pair the Falchion RX Low Profile with our ROG Harpe Ace or our new ROG Keris II Ace mouse without the need for a second dongle. 

And thanks to the energy efficiency of ROG SpeedNova connection, you can keep gaming for up to 108 hours with the RGB at 50% brightness — or 436 hours with the RGB off. (Bluetooth mode lasts even longer, up to 575 hours with the brightness at 0% for those long work weeks.) The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile even supports macOS, allowing you to easily toggle between Windows and Mac modes with the flip of a switch if you need to use both platforms. 

Small in size, big in features

While many users can easily get by without function keys or a number pad, some niceties are harder to give up. So we found a way to keep the Falchion’s touch-based volume slider on the Falchion RX Low Profile, allowing you to adjust volume, skip tracks, or adjust RGB brightness by dragging your finger along the bar on the rear panel of the deck. We’ve also kept the multi-function button, allowing you to adjust other settings to your liking, making for a keyboard that stays feature-rich while taking up a fraction of the space of its contemporaries. 

Finally, since the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile was designed to be tossed in a backpack and carried anywhere, we’ve included a convenient cover for day-to-day protection against dust, scratches, and other wear and tear. Whether you’re walking around a college campus or frequently traveling for business, you’ll be ready for a high-end gaming session or a day’s worth of meetings at a moment’s notice.
