The next installment of the legendary Call of Duty® franchise is due for release October 12th. One of the most anticipated games of the year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 brings exciting new takes on zombie co-op modes and multiplayer, along with a highly anticipated battle royale mode – Blackout. The fun has already started with beta weekends offering early access to the game, and we’re just a month away from the official release, so now is the time to make sure you’re ready for battle.

With new gaming laptops, desktops, and motherboards launched over the summer, we’ve got an awesome selection of hardware for PC gamers looking to upgrade this fall, and we’re teaming up with Activision to bundle Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with some of the most eagerly anticipated ROG gear. Whether you’re looking for a high-performance gaming laptop that travels well or a custom rig based on an ASUS motherboard, we’ve got you covered.

Experience Call of Duty on Battle.net

If you’ve never played Call of Duty on PC before, now is the time to jump in. For the first time, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is coming to Blizzard Battle.net in a fully-optimized for PC experience and fully integrated into Battle.net social features. Developed by Treyarch and Beenox, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 will be the most robust, refined, and customizable PC shooter experience in the series. Features include uncapped frame rate, 4K resolution, HDR, support for ultrawide monitors and additional features built for the PC community.

At Gamescom, we demoed Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on custom builds based on the ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming motherboard, with ROG Strix 1080 Ti graphic cards and the stunning 240Hz ROG Strix PG258Q gaming monitor, but you don’t need a purpose-built desktop to run the game. The uber-thin Zephyrus S GX531 is our premium gaming ultrabook measuring just 0.6” at its thickest point, and it still manages to squeeze an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 six-core CPU and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with Max-Q Design into its slim chassis. The more affordable ROG Strix Scar II and Hero II offer portable power in 15” and 17” form factors. They’re a little easier on your wallet but still offer enough performance to fuel high-refresh gameplay in a range of titles.

If you do want to play at home, the ROG Strix GL12 and compact ROG G21 are both capable machines that you can pair with a high-refresh monitors like the ROG Swift PG27UQ for smooth stutter free visuals while you blast through the herd of zombies. The DIY crowd can pick up one of our Maximus X motherboards or upgrade their graphics card to one of the ROG Strix GeForce 1070 or 1080 cards and also qualify for a copy of Black Ops 4. The offer applies to eligible purchases from September 10 through to the end of February 28. You’ll receive a digital copy of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Standard Edition on PC when it launches, as well as early access to the Blackout PC Open Beta on September 14.

Light ‘em up

If you’re an ROG user, there’ll be some special surprises in the game for you. In addition to the game bundle, ROG and Activision have teamed up to incorporate custom Aura Sync effects into the game. We’re big fans of adding RGB lighting to our systems and peripherals because it looks bad-ass (obviously), but when playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, your RGB lighting will give you meaningful game indicators, too. There’s a range of effects for making sure you don’t miss something in the game. Aura Sync can signal changes in environment and offer crucial visual cues based on the in-game action. With rows of keys that change color when your health drops and switch off as your ammo runs low, you’ll be more in tune with the game and better equipped to handle high-stress situations.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on October 12. Gamers in the United States can see products eligible for the bundle here. If you're in Canada, you can see all eligible ASUS and ROG products here. For more on the redemption process, visit www.ROGxBO4.com.
