TUF's new micro ATX motherboard is the Gryphon Z87. Unlike it's bigger brother the Sabertooth you buy this one 'naked', and then add the Armor Kit as an upgrade. This means if you only need TUF's core reliability and hardware you don't have to pay extra for the Thermal Armor, TUF Fortifier and Dust Defenders. Take your pick!

With the Thermal Armor kit attached, the Gryphon looks like this:

The Armor kit consists of top Thermal Armor, the TUF Fortifier SECC steel plate underneath. Installation is extremely simple (and totally fun to do yourself)!

In addition there's the Dust Defender kit, which packs two protectors for spare DIMM slots (if unused), the PCIe slots, SATA ports, USB pin-outs and rear IO connectors as well.

The rear IO fan is optional for low airflow, high temperature environments, just in case.

The rear IO packs four USB 3, four USB 2, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm and SPDIF audio jacks, DVI-D and HDMI outputs.
