Video: ROG Presents Safe Boot And ReTry On The Rampage V Extreme
When you do an epic fail, we make it less painful. Sooner or later, there comes a time when you push things too far and need to reset the BIOS back to default. In our pursuit of performance it is not a question of if but when, meaning you have to go back into the BIOS to re-enter all the settings. And, even then, sometimes hitting the reset button doesn't work, meaning you may have to reach around to cycle the power via power supply.
We need to make it better, right?
In times like that, don't you wish you had a magical button to simply press and fix it? Well, ROG engineers have worked some magic; the ReTry button on the Rampage V Extreme will force a hard reboot, and Safe Boot will power up the system in a safe mode where previous overclocking settings are safely kept for you to try again. Check the video below for more details.
