The ROG Flow X13 returns to center stage with a brand-new design
In 2021, ROG introduced a brand-new product family called the Flow series. Ultraportable and ultra-versatile machines, these devices bear touch screens, 360° hinges (on certain models), and high-end components for excellent gaming and content creation on the go. These machines are light enough to travel anywhere, versatile enough to work and play with you throughout the day, and powerful enough to power the latest games with ease. And in 2023, we’ve redesigned the Flow X13 with a brand-new chassis and completely refreshed hardware.
Grasp the power cosmic
Inspired by the endless possibilities of space and the technology that powers interstellar travel, the Flow X13 melds innovative engineering and astrophysics. For 2023, the lid has been redesigned to better reflect the gravitational waves found in deep space. Through trial and error, our design team developed new aluminum machining to perfect our die casting technique for this unique pattern. Instead of even spacing between each ridge, the aluminum has a gradually introduces additional space between each crest to more closely mimic a wave. This unique pattern ensures that the Flow X13 always stands out from the crowd, and also makes the machine easier to grab and carry with one hand when on the move.
We were even able to shrink the 2023 ROG Flow X13 10mm smaller than the 2022 model, despite packing upgraded hardware, retaining its 15-inch keyboard layout, and even enlarging the touchpad by 56%. Not only that, but despite its smaller size, we were able to increase the battery to 75Wh, giving the Flow X13 serious battery endurance on a single charge. The 2023 Flow X13 also supports up to 130W charging via its lightweight and portable USB-C adapter for easy power on-the-go.
Brand-new silicon powers the Flow X13 to new heights
The Flow X13 impresses even more when you open it up, thanks to the brand-new 13-inch Nebula Display. This QHD 165Hz, 16:10 aspect ratio panel brings incredible immersion, thanks to the lightning-fast refresh rate, vivid colors, and serious pixel density. To make the most of this new display, we’ve packed up to an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, making the Flow X13 a serious gaming powerhouse despite its svelte chassis.
The 360° hinge also returns, giving the Flow X13 incredible versatility whether you’re using the machine in tent, tablet, clamshell, or stand modes. To better protect your touchscreen from nicks and scratches, we’ve upgraded to Gorilla Glass DXC, which offers over 40% more hardness and keeps your screen looking brand-new longer than ever. It also significantly reduces reflections, making the X13 easier than ever to use outdoors and in other bright conditions.
