CES 2017: LATEST ROG GAMING SYSTEMS AND MODS ON DISPLAY
On display at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, USA, are three powerful ROG desktops of different sizes - the tower of power that is the GT51CH, a compact G20CI and the super compact GR8 II. All of them are now powered by the new 7th Gen. Intel Core processors. Also impressing the attendees were some incredible mods featuring the latest ROG and ROG Certified hardware, showing off new AURA SYNC capabilities and 3D-printed customizations.
ROG GT51CH
This my friend is a liquid-cooled ROG desktop for gamers who want to dive into any game with no concerns whatsoever for system requirements, gamers who appreciate beautiful, quality hardware but not so much the inner workings or how they fit together. ROG GT51CH now features an overclocked 4.8GHz Intel Core i7-7700K processor, up to two NVIDIA GTX 1080 in SLI graphics, and 64GB of DDR4 2800MHz memory.
ROG G20CI
G20CI can be deceptively powerful when it's housed in a compact 9.5-liter chassis and runs super-quiet at just 22dB at idle. With up to the latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700 processor, and up to a GTX 1080 graphics with 8GB of GDDR5 video memory, ROG engineers took on the challenge of creating a cooling system to manage and dissipating that heat efficiently.
ASUS Aura LED effects across three zones of the chassis, and the ESS SABRE Hi-Fi audio headphone DAC and amplifier delivers incredible audiophile-grade sound.
ROG GR8 II
The successor to the GR8 is coming, ROG GR8 II is back with more power and in a new super-compact 4-liter chassis. Tremendous upgrades have been made to make this more powerful than the original GR8, packing the 7th Gen. Intel Core i7 processor, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a full-blown GTX 1060 for VR gaming. The new design now includes Aura Sync technology with 12 different effects (10 effects on the GR8 II by itself), and you can synchronize the lighting with other Aura Sync-capable hardware such as the Claymore keyboard, Spatha, the new Gladius II, ROG Strix Evolve and Impact mice. The two extra lighting effects (when connected using Aura-Sync) are temperature and music modes.
Mods
Here are some incredible builds featuring AURA SYNC for synchronized RGB lighting, ROG Certified products, and even a new open-bench system for overclocking enthusiasts featuring the new ROG Maximus IX Apex.
ROG Certified
To give you more choices, we’re also working closely with third-party manufacturers to expand the Aura eco-system, so that users can harmonize the appearance of their entire build. Aura Sync ready chassis from Deep Cool, NZXT, and the 805 Infinity from In Win are already available, and now, acclaimed memory-vendors G.Skill join the stable with their new Trident Z RGB memory.
G.Skill isn’t the only memory vendor getting in on the action; we’re also working closely with Avexir, Corsair, and Kingston, who are readying a range of memory kits that we should see in the retail channel, shortly.
