Battery life is about a week with the wireless 2.4GHz receiver, but you can probably get more juice if you use the built-in Bluetooth. This keyboard supports Asus Aura Sync, which lets your keyboard switch the backlight colours based on the game. You'll need the Asus Armory Crate app for this, but I'm not a big fan of the app. However, you can use it to customise the colours, and sync it with all your other Asus RGB devices.

Play Experience Outstanding

At least the Asus ROG STRIX Scope II 96 Wireless is the perfect keyboard for our requirements, and not just for gaming. It also does everything you would expect from a keyboard with a full layout in the office.

Especially the high-quality build and the precise stroke are pleasing. The linear ROG NX SNOW switches are pleasing all along the line.

The Asus ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless offers very good workmanship, lubricated as well as replaceable switches and a pleasant typing feel including a suitable sound.

Allround-PC recommendation

The unconventional 96 percent format and key sound is a matter of personal taste, but is an excellent solution for a compact format without sacrificing the NumBlock.

Hardwareinside recommendation top class

The new ROG NX Snow switches in combination with the PBT plastic keycaps are a big plus. The keyboard's acoustics are very pleasant and make typing a pleasure.

8.9 out of 10

The ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless impresses with its promise delivered: a keyboard as complete as a standard model, enclosed in a highly sophisticated compact format.

9 out of 10

Very robust despite its compact size, its design is not only ergonomic, but also of very high quality. Extremely well finished, the Strix Scope II is of almost flawless in terms of quality. [...] The switches, which are replaceable on the fly, are ultra-smooth when pressed and very silent, which doesn't stop them from being extremely responsive to pressure. [...] Performance, precision and comfort - what more could you ask for?

9 out of 10

It's hard not to be seduced by the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless. Like many of its Asus predecessors, this keyboard has everything going for it. Despite its compact size, it doesn't really lose out on functionality and boasts impeccable build quality.

The Strix Scope II 96 Wireless is an excellent gaming keyboard which takes into consideration everything that customers have highlighted over the years [...] with good soundproofing, excellent switches, impeccable finish and advanced features.

...the switches and stabilisers have been improved with high-quality factory lubrication, giving a smooth, quieter and, above all, very stable feel. A big plus in our opinion. Its compact 96% format is modern and very practical for everyday use, and we think it will soon replace the 100% format...

9.5 out of 10

A modern day gaming keyboard comes in a variety of sizes. Namely 100%, TKL, 96%, 75%, 65% and etc. In line with this, the 96% is a slightly more compact version of the 100% layout.

It's not like ASUS reinvents the wheel with its ROG Strix Scope II 96 wireless, but they take the existing wheel and make it better, prettier, more comfortable, and finally get something that's spectacularly good.

Although the packaging is not as extensive as some other models, such as the ROG Azoth, the keyboard offers excellent performance and quality. The magnetic removable wrist rest is a nice bonus for long hours of gaming.
