Internal temperatures showed the GPU at around 80°C and the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX did hit thermal cap at around 104°C. The Asus ROG NUC (2025)'s cooling seems to work well, as I did not notice any slow downs. While gaming, external temperatures from the back of the PC showed around 55°C, which isn't too bad.

Gaming MiniPC High perfomance for Gaming with Gaming Monitor 610Hz

To sum up, the Asus ROG NUC (2025) is a premium mini PC offering that is well suited for gaming at decent frame rates on the 1080p and 1440p resolution. Now given its performance, 4K gaming is still possible, but do be prepared to turn down the graphics settings a notch in order to get decent FPS performance. The ROG NUC (2025) also feels well-built, and comes with a good assortment of connectivity and IO options.

I can say that the ASUS ROG NUC is the perfect machine for LAN parties, the ultimate PC for couch gaming on a large 4K TV, and just a cool option for people who hate big cases but love high FPS.

ASUS ROG NUC (2025): Intel Core Ultra 9 + RTX 5080 Mini PC BEAST!
Recensioni Media

The ASUS ROG NUC (2025) is not a cheap replacement for a gaming tower. It is one of the most convincing examples that top-tier gaming performance can be packed into a volume smaller than a shoebox, provided you are willing to pay a premium for every centimetre of space saved.

The ROG NUC combines a mobile Intel processor with dedicated NVIDIA graphics. It is larger than a typical mini PC, but delivers significantly higher gaming performance without the need for a traditional desktop computer case.
