The fans have a futuristic but not obtrusive design, they are quiet and powerful. In this regard, they are suitable for a variety of applications, they do best on air coolers or on radiators.

ASUS, with its first custom fan design in the form of the ROG STRIX XF 120, has clearly followed the path of high quality and balanced functionality. From our experience, it is a surprisingly powerful, quiet and actually universal 120mm model, which is definitely worth considering. I assume that we will probably see other models, including the RGB variant, or a larger 140mm version.

ROG XF 風扇在性能上的表現確實不差，雖然整體來說可能無法與高階性能風扇相比，但整體更注重於靜音的表現，因此也可以看到這次使用了 MagLev 磁懸浮軸承，確實將噪音控制在近 20dB，相較於高階風扇動輒 25~30 dB 的表現來的好上許多，而 62.5 CFM 的風量及 3.07 mm H2O 的風壓，也算是能提供不錯的散熱性能，不論是要將其用在機殼風扇或是冷排風扇，都能有不錯的風流表現。

若是作為 CPU 散熱器或是水冷排使用，ROG STRIX XF 120 的定位顯得尷尬，與其他主打散熱性能的風扇是有落差的，並沒辦法在 2000 轉左右的風扇中得到極致的效能。從另一個角度看，ROG STRIX XF 120 的平衡較佳，在 1500 RPM 的表現非常良好，在極靜音的狀態下可以保持良好的散熱能力。官方定價為新台幣 790 元，上市促銷活動買二送一，我認為 1,580 元買到 3 顆是比較符合這 XF 120 的性價比的。期望未來 ROG 能推出更高效能的風扇，ROG STRIX XF 120 的天花板設得太低，用在主散熱器上的結果沒有很亮眼，但我認為它若使用在機殼風扇部屬上，應該不會讓您失望的！
