STARLADDER 2012 Tournament Results And Gallery

On December 23rd the Kiev Cybersport Arena held the 4th season finals of the STARLADDER professional gaming tournament. The best teams of the CIS and Europe competed during four days for the last trophies of 2012, in DOTA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, World of Tanks and Point Blank. Almost all games were held in the show-match format on the specialized stage with the accompaniment of the best eSports broadcasters. More than 13 thousand people watched the final match in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, while the DOTA 2 finals generated more than 44 thousand spectators, and the total number of unique visitors of our broadcasts summed up to more than 716,000 people.

SLTV StarSeries — Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

In this fourth season of STARLADDER  Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was played for the first time. The main trophy deservedly went to the legendary ESC Gaming from Poland. A lot of professional broadcasters and gaming journalists commented that their semifinal fight against Russian Virtus.pro was the most fascinating and exciting match in the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

SLTV StarSeries — DOTA 2

In DOTA2, the most popular discipline of STARLADDER, during the four days we have seen equally exciting matches. The final battle brought a victory to the Ukrainians from Natus Vincere, which won four out of four trophies in 2012 to fully justifies their own name: Born to win.

SLTV StarSeries — World of Tanks

In World of Tanks, the world champion Russian team, Red Rush, arrived to Kiev to contest the third trophy of STARLADDER. They competed against strongest teams of Ukraine and Russia, but even after loosing to Virtus.pro in the first round, they reached the finals from the lower tier to finally beat RR-UNITY in the final.

SLTV StarSeries — Point Blank

Ukrainian team "ZUM" became the breakthrough team of the season for the rapidly growing game, Point Blank. They first beat 12 teams in the regular season and got the spot in the STARLADDER finals, then later fought hard against the Russian favorites to eventually take 3rd place. Russian powerhouse "RoX.KIS" fulfilled viewers expectations in the Grand Finals, scoring a tough victory over fellow countryman from "zNation" and taking 4th in a row title of STARLADDER champions.
