ASUS Announces Xonar U5 USB Sound Card And Headphone Amplifier
It's dead easy pump up your notebook or gaming rig with a USB sound card, and the new pocketable sized Xonar U5 fits the bill perfectly.
It can output up to 192KHz/24-bit 5.1 surround sound or stereo and S/PDIF out separately. For Skype or game-chat it also has microphone input, and packs a headphone amp for good measure. ASUS' Sonic Studio software does the setup and has plenty of tweaking options from within Windows - see the screenshot below the gallery of U5 pics.
