PC-exclusive shooter Hard Reset ready to lock and load
Here's something refreshing, an FPS that's only on the PC by people who are devoted PC gamers and developers. Hard Reset is also unique in that it was only announced a couple of months ago, and confirmed its global launch for September release. That's a very fast turnaround, which is very rare in gaming. Usually we have to sit at home waiting for anticipated games months upon months if not years! Hard Reset is made by Flying Wild Hog, a team related to People Can Fly, which if you recall were responsible for Bulletstorm (NOT a PC exclusive, alas). It's a cyberpunk first person shooter set in a semi-post apocalyptic 25th century world in which humanity is barely holding on and is engaged in a fight against maniacal machines. Sounds cool. What's cooler is that the look and feel of the game are explicitly inspired by the beloved Blade Runner, with a rain-swept, neon-lit grungy world to explore and shoot up. Plus, have we mentioned it's only on PC? For the curious, here are the system requirements, as provided by Flying Wild Hog:
- OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
- Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Pentium 4 / AMD Athlon 64
- Memory: 2 GB
- Hard Disk Space: 4 GB free hard drive space
- Video Card: 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS / ATI Radeon HD 3870 or better
