Guide: How to Change the Date & Time in Windows 10..?!

As crazy as it sounds, yes, this is your one-stop guide to updating the time and date in Windows 10.  Why??? Well, for some people who have just assembled a brand new system, here is a bizarre but possible scenario:

1. After building your new system and checking if everything is working properly, I turn it on.  It powers on. Great.

2. I'm able to enter the UEFI BIOS to play around. Marvelous.

3. Windows is installed. Excellent.

4. Install drivers for the motherboard. Done. Awesome.

5. Install drivers for the graphics card.  Nothing happens and no error message. Could it be the memory? The GPU? UAC settings? BIOS settings? Not awesome.

6. Call anyone and everyone who could be in any way responsible and let them know exactly how I feel right now!

No Need.  As crazy as it sounds, yes, try and change the date & time.

7. Oh, that's easy.  Wait a minute... I already did in the BIOS yet it's the year 6290.  I don't have internet connected yet, so I can't set it automatically.

Time Change 1

That's okay, turn that option off and you will be able to change the date and time automatically.

Time Change 2

8. Yeah, I got it from here.... wait, what? There's no drop down menu for changing the time!!!Time Change 3

It's okay, confirm with the computer that you want to enter the twilight zone where dates don't even exist by simply clicking Change

Time Change 4

9. That's great, but there's still no option for any year before 2046.

Then choose the earliest year possible and click Change.

Time Change 5

10. Ah, I see, the earliest is 2016, so I'll click on that and Change in order to get to 2015.

Now that you have corrected the date & time, you can install your driver.  Enjoy your new system!
