ASUS Announces Best, Fastest and Most Comprehensive USB 3.1 Solutions

ASUS' USB 3.1 motherboard line-up features new motherboards with two USB 3.1 ports installed on the PCB itself, and existing motherboards with a ASUS USB 3.1 PCIE add-in cards bundled in the package. Both are identified by the /USB3.1 suffix. 

For those wanting to upgrade an existing system with USB 3.1 - that PCIE add-in card will also be available separately for compatible motherboards. Note: a BIOS update is sometimes required - see the press release for more details.

ASUS USB 3.1 PCIE add-in card compatible motherboards are listed in the press release below. This card is available in two versions: one featuring two Type-A connectors, to retain compatibility with existing USB cables and existing products, and one with a new, reversible Type-C connector.
