CES 2016: Latest ROG Maximus & ASUS Pro Gaming Motherboards With Aura Lighting
Attendees at CES 2016 in Las Vegas, USA got a treat as ASUS ROG demonstrated the latest and upcoming gaming innovations. Three brand-new gaming motherboards with Aura RGB lighting made their debut at CES 2016 in Las Vegas, USA. Not sure whether to go Intel, AMD or mini-ITX? It sure is confusing, but one thing is for certain - any one of these will brighten up your day!
ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura
The AMD 970+SB950 chipset-based ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard is the world’s first (again) AMD 970 motherboard that has been officially certified by NVIDIA to offer SLI support. AMD fans, you too can play with Aura RGB LED effects and use a dedicated onboard water-pump header for your next PC build. Game with SupremeFX and Sonic Radar II audio, as well as Intel Gigabit Ethernet with ASUS LANGuard and GameFirst technologies for frustration-free online gaming (basic gaming skills required). NVM Express (NVMe) M.2 and two USB 3.1 ports help to make sure you're well connected and loading games faster than you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (well... faster than most people anyway).

ASUS B150I Pro Gaming/Wi-Fi/Aura
ASUS B150I Pro Gaming/Wi-Fi/Aura is a great example of what people mean when they say good things come in small packages. ASUS somehow crammed in five additional controllers and special firmware into this mini-ITX motherboard for advanced Aura LED illumination for even more customizable lighting effects (more than the existing standard static, breathing, strobing, color-cycle, music, and CPU temperature effects).
There's a built-in M.2 socket for the latest high-speed solid-state drives (SSDs), and Multi-user MIMO and 802.11ac Wi-Fi with an external 2×2 dual-band 2.5/5GHz antenna to give gamers outstanding performance even while playing online games on Wi-Fi. When all the components are packed so tightly together, it is more beneficial to go liquid-cooling on this than larger motherboards, so the dedicated onboard water-pump header just might come in handy if you wish to take advantage.
