Maximus VI Impact Review Gets Editors Choice Silver Award At Anandtech
Anandtech's Maximus VI Impact review dives into the details of the mini-ITX ROG motherboard, eventually awarding it with its Editors' Choice Silver award. Anandtech describes the ASUS ROG Maximus VI Impact as "nearer the pinnacle of mini-ITX design than any design previous".
Anandtech hardware complemented the innovative areas, including Impact Power daughter-board with 60A Blackwing chokes and NexFET MOSFETs, SupremeFX Audio, Intel NIC, dual-band 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, NGFF M.2 support and Impact Control on the rear IO. Take a look at how the SupremeFX Impact stacked up against the competition:
"Every so often, there are products that can go above and beyond the basics to provide something different and innovative. While it feels like I have been handing out awards like candy recently (four out of thirteen products since Haswell launch, which is a lot for my normal high standards), the Impact goes for the high notes with aplomb and deserves a Silver Award, particularly for innovation in software and the mini-ITX form factor," said Anandtech's Ian Cutress.
The Maximus VI Impact is a little beast, with an ROG tweaked BIOS, GameFirst II, Sonic Radar and ROG RAMDisk software included. Click the link to read the full review below.
