First WR & GFP on Titan X Pascal Paired With ROG Motherboards
Few days ago, Nvidia officially released their new TitanX graphics card, this time with the latest Pascal architecture manufactured on 14nm FinFET node. It is no surprise the overclocking results are already astonishing.
Looking at today's top benchmark scores at HWBOT.org, overclockers didn't wait long before getting the card in their hands and passing them under water cooling or simply air cooling to see what this new technology brings to their favorite benchmarks.
In less than three days, the overclockers Dancop, Marc0053 and Slinky PC took one World Record and 13 Global First Places previously held by either a GTX 980 Ti or a GTX 1080. All the scores have been made on either ROG Rampage V Edition 10, Maximus VIII Extreme or Rampage V Extreme.
Looking at the table below that compares the top scores with a GTX 980 Ti on LN2 and the new scores achieved by the TitanX, the benchmark results improve by up to 58% (3DMark Time Spy). In terms of highest performance so far, Slinky PC reached 2,113MHz (+49.12%) in GPU frequency and 2,906MHz (+16.24%) in memory frequency during Catzilla 720P.
