ASUS Republic of Gamers announce Extreme Series Round 2 !
On April 17th 2015, extreme overclockers are summoned to partake in second round of the ROG Showdown 2015 - Extreme Series, where access to cooling with sub-zero temperature will be granted!
The aim of OC Showdown 2015 is to engage and support the entire OC community; whether you’re at the very top of the game or just enthusiastic about joining in for some benchmarking fun. A total of six online competitions are planned for 2015 on the HWBOT website, with three rounds per series (Extreme/Formula), with the ultimate champions being crowned in the third quarter of this year.
The Round 1 of the Extreme Series as well as the Round 1 of the Formula Series brought some good results and now it's time for you to join and compete!
For the second Round, a lot of great prizes are in store along with the bragging rights. In co-operation with HWBOT, Intel, G.skill, Enermax and 8ECC (Extreme Cooling Components), participants have the chance to win the latest and most powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X, a ASUS Strix GTX 980 graphics card, a ROG’s Rampage V Extreme X99 motherboard, a ROG’s Maximus VII Formula Z97 motherboard, ROG’s premium Enthusiast SLI Bridges, USD$1,000 worth of liquid-nitrogen (LN2), CPU, DDR4 memory, PSUs and extreme cooling gear.
Overclockers will have until May 18th to submit their results on the competition page in different benchmarks: MaxxMem Read Bandwidth, 3DMark Fire Strike Physics and Unigine Heaven Extreme.
Round 2 of the Formula Series will commence 19th June, 2015, so stay tuned!
