ASUS Announces B150 Pro Gaming/Aura and B150 Pro Gaming
The new line of ASUS Pro Gaming motherboards has continued to redefine the meaning of great value. The performance, features and aesthetics have all gone far beyond your preconception of what a 'great value' motherboard is. ASUS B150 Pro Gaming/Aura is in its own right a great gamers' motherboard, hardware-wise and software-wise. As you began to read this after looking at the motherboard, it's highly likely your expectations from a great value board had already been changed forever.

Utilizing the latest platform, ASUS B150 Pro Gaming/Aura is an ATX board based on the Intel B150 Express chipset, while supporting 6th Gen. Intel processors and up to 64GB of DDR4 memory (4 DIMMs). You're not only getting great performance for gaming, but also the efficiency from the latest platform. The newest technologies for connectivity haven't been left out, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A and reversible Type-C, plus an M.2 slot with support for NVM Express (NVMe) are all onboard.

Features essential for gamers such as great audio and networking have been focal points from the beginning. SupremeFX uses the Realtek ALC1150 codec with an electromagnetic-interference (EMI) cover and illuminated red-line shielding produces incredible sound with remarkable 115dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Sonic Radar II is the exclusive audio software designed to get the most out of the hardware. Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet with LANGuard and GameFirst technologies makes sure gaming is uninterrupted, fast and your investment is protected against static electricity and power surges.
In terms of aesthetics, it is pretty clear gamers and modders are going to be excited about the new Aura multi-color LED lighting effects on the black and red board. You can choose from a breathing effect, color-strobe or color-cycle effects, customize it to change shades according to the CPU temperature, or even pulsate in time with whatever you're listening to whether music, a movie or a game. Whether you are opting to go with liquid-cooling or air-cooling, the dedicated water-pump header and Fan Xpert 3 have you covered. Not a fan of lighting effects? Not a problem, ASUS B150 Pro Gaming will save you some money to go towards other components (Strix GTX 980 Ti perhaps?).
