Join ROG At LANcouver - June 29th to July 1st

Heads up Canadian ROGers & LAN gamers!

Head down to LANcouver this weekend for ROG and ASUS product demos and prizes (the Maximus V Formula will be on show), plus, the usual epic LANfesting & eSports tournaments! LANcouver is a 3-day gaming event. It’s a BYOC LAN party and tournament which means you’ll need to bring your own computer along with its monitor, keyboard, mouse and other accessories. What is a LAN party? For many years, gamers all over the world have gathered together at events to celebrate their love for PC hardware, video games and competitive gaming. LAN parties range from small casual gatherings of friends to giant week-long events with thousands of participants. LANcouver is probably the region’s oldest organized LAN party. We first started hosting events in 2004 on Metro Vancouver’s North Shore. Richmond Olympic Oval is the new venue for LANcouver 2012. This gigantic facility has over 200,000 square feet of courts, rinks and activity space. The venue is easily accessible by transit, car, and bike. We recommend carpooling as a cheap and green way to get to and from LANcouver. Buying a 3-day BYOC pass gets you a seat in the BYOC area as well as entry in to any of the tournaments, events, panels, competitions, and anything else going on at LANcouver. Single-day passes are not available since all of the tournaments take place over the entire weekend. Weekend spectator passes are also available for just $10, and get you entry to the event, main stage casting area, sponsor booths, panels, seminars, and more (but not competitions or tournaments). We are featuring three eSports-style tournaments this year: StarCraft II, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike. All tournaments have amazing prizes and StarCraft II is even a qualifier for national finals of the World Championship Series – the eligible winner will get a free trip to Toronto to compete for the honor of representing Canada! Other awesome features include panels, seminars, special competitions (like wall sitting, keyboard toss, and a couple of new secret ones), vendor booths, sponsor booths, special presentations and demos, a live DJ and more!
