Here’s what ROG’s mechanical MOUSE, OMNI, has been up to in 2025
If you’ve been with ROG for a while, odds are you’ve seen a mechanical rodent crop up here and there. But he’s not just any rodent — he's a M.O.U.S.E (Multiple Operational Utility Strategic Enforcer) named OMNI. He’s our M.O.U.S.E. And he's been very, very busy as of late. Get ready for OMNI lore and an update on what our steely friend’s been up to in recent times.
Revolutionary origins of the ROG hero
OMNI is an anthropomorphic mouse-type machine who fights valiantly alongside his compatriots in the war to save G.A.M.E.R.S., a special, endangered species oppressed by those jealous of their elite skills. The government, crime syndicates, and jealous civvies are all out to get us G.A.M.E.R.S., but with our esports-grade abilities and OMNI’s help, we’ll give the opposition what for. You can read more about the very real, very serious war at our ROG SAGA microsite, which reveals how the Republic of Gamers came to be.
With all that being said, the war on G.A.M.E.R.S. has cooled down in recent months, so there’s not much action for battlefield legends like OMNI. He’s taken up helping ROG promote gamer gear to pass the time.
Here’s a fun canonical fact about the mechanical mouse: his processor is powered by mysterious "black technology," so he doesn’t talk like other robots from his line — he talks like a gamer. And that means foul language galore. This programming renders him one of the only ROG employees who’s allowed to swear publicly, though our content marketing team has been known to talk smack in the heat of battle, too. Check out our Twitch streams to see just how rowdy the ROG team can get.
What OMNI’s been up to these days
Despite the civil unrest in the Gaian United Nations, OMNI’s taken on the incredible responsibility of being ROG’s mascot alongside his revolutionary duties.
You’ve probably seen him on the product pages for some of our best gaming monitors, such as our QHD 320Hz stunner, the ROG Strix XG27ACMS. That’s all his work — he stars in the photoshoots and directs them. And despite being protected by California Labor Laws, he refuses monetary payment for this stuff. All he’s ever asked of us was to make him a moderator on the official ROG Discord channel. Strange.
He also appeared in ROG’s official video game, ROG CITADEL XV, which you can play right now. OMNI himself plays it every now and then with an ROG Raikiri Pro controller. He’s a serial controller smasher, so we’ve shipped him a couple dozen units at this point.
OMNI even gave us permission to use his likeness for our ROG Virtual Assistant, meaning if you’re gaming on ROG gear, you can have your own personal OMNI hanging around. He’ll keep you company no matter what and answer all your ROG hardware questions.
He’s not just limited to screens, either. The mechanoid mouse can often be spotted at in-person ROG events, like at our Computex and Gamescom booths. Don’t let his bratty personality rub you the wrong way — that's just who he is.
On top of all that promotional work he does for us, OMNI also helps out our engineers and developers. Heck, he’s the one who made the prototype for the ROG Xbox Ally. It may have been the product of a terrifying body-horror industrial accident, but hey, credit where credit is due.
What’s next for OMNI
OMNI has a lot on his plate in the coming months, chief among those tasks being helping us promote the ROG Xbox Ally. And when I say, “help us,” I mean I’m going to have him write all the articles so that I, the regular article writer, can take an off-the-books vacation for a few months.
Wait, what’s that rustling sound? I knew I shouldn’t have used voice-to-text software to dictate this article. I think I made a neighbor angry —
OMNI?
Hey gamer, OMNI here. That other guy’s gonna be taking a vacation, all right. Consider him retired, effective immediately. Now, while I clean up the mess I made here, I’m giving you one chance to stop reading articles on the internet and go play some **** on your PC. You think that RGB glow-box of yours is for reading blogs? I’ve seen your game stats, bub. Puh-thetic. So grab a ******* controller, or keyboard, or whatever you use, and go git gud!
