QD-OLED and 360Hz converge in the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG
Not that long ago, you were largely limited to 1080p displays if you wanted a supremely fast refresh rate. And if you wanted an OLED panel, your options capped out at 60Hz. After a few whirlwind years of display technology advancements, we’re able to offer you a gaming monitor that combines a lightning-quick refresh rate, high pixel density, and a next-gen OLED panel: the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG.
Vivid, bright, accurate colors
The action starts with a premium QD-OLED panel. For excellent brightness and color accuracy, we selected a panel with a glossy coating. It produces exceptionally vibrant and lifelike colors, earning 99% coverage of the cinema-grade DCI-P3 color gamut. Since it’s factory calibrated, you’ll enjoy accurate colors painted just as their creator intended. You’ll find a calibration e-report inside the monitor’s OSD.
As an OLED monitor, The ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG offers luxuriously inky blacks for startling contrast, high-end clarity, and menacingly dark shadows. You’ll get easy readability in rooms with plenty of ambient light with this bright monitor — not to mention dazzling highlights in HDR games and media. It achieves 250 nits of brightness at 100% APL (Average Picture Level).
With the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG, we’re introducing two new perks that streamline your experience with HDR games and media. The first is Dynamic Brightness Boost. Owners of HDR monitors have recently been unsure whether they should operate their screen in peak brightness mode for the most dazzling highlights, or in HDR400 mode, which can have a higher overall perceived brightness level when depicting certain scenes.
Dynamic Brightness Boost ensures a consistent experience when you use the monitor’s peak brightness mode. You’ll enjoy the high-end luminance that the XG27ACDNG can produce at low APL, and you’ll have a bright, clear picture at larger APL. In other words, you'll get the bursts of high-level luminance that it's capable of achieving, but also a consistently bright and vibrant image in any context.
Second, we’re giving you more options for fine-tuning your display settings when you have HDR enabled. In the past, activating an HDR mode on your monitor would engage a non-customizable preset designed to give you the best experience with HDR games and media in most settings. But we’ve heard from enthusiasts that they would appreciate the ability to tweak some of these settings to better fit their tastes and preferences. With the XG27ACDNG, you’ll be able to adjust settings including color temperature, brightness, saturation, contrast, 6-axis saturation, and Vivid Pixel, even when the monitor is in an HDR mode.
OLED meets 360Hz
In competitive games, winners and losers are often separated by speed. That’s exactly what you’ll get with the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG. This monitor is armed with a 360Hz refresh rate for supremely fluid animation that’s ready to keep up with the fastest-paced games. With its ultra-low 0.03ms response time, it crushes motion blur to give you uncanny clarity when the action gets hot. It even features ROG-exclusive OLED Anti-Flicker technology to minimize flickering during refresh-rate fluctuations.
For a very noticeable increase in detail over FHD displays, the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG has a 2560x1440 QHD resolution and a 26.5-inch diagonal. Even mainstream graphics cards can produce high FPS at this resolution, depending on the game, making this resolution a great fit for the display’s 360Hz refresh rate.
Wide connectivity makes this monitor an easy addition to your gaming setup. You’ll find DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports for compatibility with almost any PC or gaming console, and for an extra dose of versatility it can receive a display signal through its USB Type-C port, too. This port is equipped for 90W USB Power Delivery, so it can recharge a connected device even while it expands its screen space.
OLED Care+ protects your investment
ROG OLED monitors go above and beyond to minimize the risk of burn-in. It starts with a best-in-class cooling design that dissipates heat before it can impact the panel. On top of that, ASUS OLED Care provides a full set of optimizations that help maintain image quality over the long term. Some of these functions act behind the scenes, but others you can tweak and adjust either through the OSD or through DisplayWidget Center.
Through DisplayWidget Center, you’ll have convenient access to OLED Care features: Screen Saver, Pixel Cleaning, Screen Move, Auto Logo Brightness, and more. This easy-to-use Windows app lets you fine-tune other image settings, too. You can access gaming settings like overdrive, and switch between display modes with GameVisual, all without lifting your hands from your mouse and keyboard. Our new AI Visual feature, available through DisplayWidget Center, can automate the process of switching GameVisual modes. It can automatically detect the type of app that you’re currently using and switch to the best GameVisual mode for the moment.
The ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG also gives you access to our latest OLED Care+ features. Taskbar Detection dynamically detects and identifies the taskbar, reducing brightness around it to minimize the risk of burn-in. Boundary Detection mitigates the burn-in risk associated with persistent image boundaries, as when watching movies with letterboxing or when using picture-by-picture mode. Outer Dimming Control automatically adjusts the level of brightness around areas of peak brightness, while Global Dimming Control dynamically adjusts the overall brightness of the display.
Finally, we back up the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG with a lengthy three-year warranty. Between this monitor’s robust cooling solution, OLED Care+, and its generous warranty coverage, you’ll have peace of mind that your monitor will deliver pristine image quality for years to come.
The ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG is ready for action
Putting together a fast refresh rate, 1440p resolution, and a cutting-edge QD-OLED panel, the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG offers a tantalizing combination of gaming features.
