ROG introduced a number of new and updated gaming laptops at CES 2022, from ultra-powerful to ultra-slim to groundbreaking new form factors. And with new 12th gen processors from Intel, new 6000 series CPUs and GPUs from AMD, and the new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and 3070 Ti from NVIDIA, this year is a perfect storm of glorious hardware upgrades.
That new silicon gets to flex its muscles in this year’s ROG Strix line, designed for top-tier performance in esports and competitive gaming. Both the Strix SCAR and Strix G offer the fastest-ever laptop displays at 360Hz, with plenty of color options to flex your style on the battlefield.
Our Zephyrus line continues to push the boundaries of thin-and-light gaming laptops, with svelte designs for gamers and content creators alike. The brand-new Zephyrus G14 lights up the room with a new and improved AniMe Matrix™ display on the back of the lid, plus an all-new screen we're calling a Nebula Display. Meanwhile, the G15 and M16 have been updated with all-new hardware, and the legendary Zephyrus Duo 16 takes dual-display laptops to a new level with Mini LED and a 4-directional hinge that melts the displays together for a truly seamless experience.
Finally, we’re introducing a brand new form factor to the ultra-versatile ROG Flow family: the Flow Z13, a detachable gaming tablet with the power of a PC. The ROG Strix SCAR and Strix G Challenge the Competition
If you want the best performance possible for competitive, high-refresh gaming, look no further than the ROG Strix series. The brand-new ROG Strix SCAR is designed with esports pros in mind, with up to a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti laptop GPU at 150W with Dynamic Boost. A MUX Switch allows you to switch into a direct GPU mode that ensures you see every single frame with minimal latency, and Thermal Grizzly’s Conductonaut Extreme Liquid Metal keeps temperatures up to 15°C lower than traditional pastes, ensuring higher sustained boost clocks. Competitive hardware deserves a competitive display, which is why the Strix SCAR 15 and 17 both offer ultra high refresh rates. The 15-inch offers three IPS display choices: QHD 240Hz, Full HD 300Hz, and QHD 165Hz. The 17-inch SCAR goes even further, with QHD 240Hz and a blazing fast Full HD 360Hz option. All of those displays come with Dolby Vision HDR and Adaptive-Sync for stunning picture quality without tearing or stuttering. A 3ms response time assures clear movement so you can make pixel-perfect decisions in frenetic firefights.
This year’s larger trackpad allows for fine-grained control over precision movements when not using a traditional mouse, and per-key RGB lighting on the keyboard and lightbar let you flex your own style. The armor cap in the corner is even swappable, with three different colors offered in-box and customizable 3D-printable models available online, so you can make the machine truly yours.

The ROG Zephyrus G14 has garnered rave reviews from gamers around the globe, for its mix of powerful gaming and a stylish ultraportable form factor. This year, we’ve made it even better, with Windows 11 onboard, an AMD® Ryzen™ 9 Series processor, and AMD® Radeon™ RX 6000 Series mobile graphics with a MUX Switch for the best possible framerates. ROG Intelligent Cooling with liquid metal and a custom vapor chamber ensures excellent sustained performance from these high-end components, while DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD enable responsive multitasking and fast load times, no matter what you’re doing.
Designed to offer premium power in an ultraportable package, the G14 is available in sleek Eclipse Grey or Moonlight White, featuring a Prismatic Logo nameplate with a holographic, reflective hue that you need to see to truly appreciate. Models with the now-iconic AniMe Matrix™ display also see an upgrade: the back of the lid is covered with 14,969 precision CNC milled holes with 1,449 mini LEDs. The ROG Zephyrus Duo16 will rock your universe with two incredible displays
The original Zephyrus Duo broke boundaries with its dual-display setup, allowing you to game and multitask like never before. ROG’s ScreenPad Plus™ adds a secondary screen for extra productivity real estate, game-streaming tools, or even controls for supported games like Dying Light 2. But the brand-new 2022 Zephyrus Duo 16 is even more impressive: The ScreenPad Plus™ now rises up and slides back to meet the primary display as the laptop opens, thanks to a new 4-directional hinge. Compared to the previous generation, this closes the gap between the two displays, almost melting into the main screen for nearly bezel-less, next-level immersion.
This Windows 11 machine is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti laptop GPU at 150W with Dynamic Boost for supremely high-end horsepower. That hardware is bolstered by an upgraded Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal solution that decreases CPU temperatures by 15°C compared to traditional thermal pastes. The AAS Plus 2.0 air intake created by the raised secondary screen creates 30% more airflow above the fans, allowing these top-tier components to stay cool for better sustained performance in games and creative apps. And, as with our other 2022 laptops, a MUX Switch ensures you get every frame possible in competitive scenarios.
But it doesn’t stop there. This year, the Zephyrus Duo offers two groundbreaking panel choices for the main display. The first, new for 2022, is ROG’s Nebula HDR display, which has all the specs of ROG’s standard Nebula display but with a mini LED backlight boasting 512 individual dimming zones, able to reach 1100 nits of peak brightness for stunning levels of contrast and color. This QHD, 16:10 panel boasts a refresh rate of 165Hz and is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified for the ultimate HDR gaming and movie-watching experience. This is a display you have to see to believe.
If refresh rate is more important than contrast, you have another panel option. Co-developed with BOE, we’re calling this brand-new ROG-exclusive display a Dual Spec panel, and it’s able to switch between 4K 120Hz and Full HD 240Hz with a flick of a switch. That means you can choose whether resolution or refresh rate is more important on a game-by-game or app-by-app basis, giving you the best experience in every scenario. Pixel Acceleration Technology ensures lightning-fast upscaling in the Full HD mode, for crystal clear images at competitive framerates.
The Zephyrus Duo 16 also comes with ROG’s NumberPad technology on the trackpad, a keyboard with 1.7mm of travel and per-key RGB, six speakers with Dual Force-Cancelling Woofers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio, and two-way AI Noise Cancellation to round out ROG’s flagship for 2022. Despite this much tech and two displays, the 2022 Zephyrus Duo 16 has a smaller footprint than the previous generation, fitting a 16-inch display into a chassis traditionally sized for 15” laptops.

Last year, we introduced our smallest gaming laptop yet, the ultra-versatile ROG Flow X13. This year it’s been updated with the latest silicon from AMD and NVIDIA, with power that continues to amaze in such a small form factor. Featuring the latest AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 Ti laptop GPU, the 2022 Flow X13 will transform your expectations of what a gaming laptop can be.
The ultra-slim, ultra-light body fits just about anywhere, while a 360° hinge allows for console-like gaming with a controller, or creating works of art with its optional stylus. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the touchscreen, which comes in both 4K 60Hz and 1080p 120Hz options for either ultra-crisp or ultra-smooth gaming.
Despite the incredibly portable design, the Flow X13 still sports a full keyboard with 1.7mm of key travel, as well as a robust port selection including HDMI, USB Type-A and Type-C, and our own XG Mobile interface for connecting to our ultra-portable family of external GPUs. The ROG Flow Z13 shatters boundaries with an entirely new detachable tablet form factor
Finally, ROG is introducing an entirely new form factor to the 2022 lineup: like the Flow X13 before it, the new ROG Flow Z13 shrinks gaming to new levels of portability. As the world’s most powerful gaming tablet, the Flow Z13 is designed for the ultimate in versatility, with power belying its compact size.
Thanks to Windows 11, up to a 14-core Intel® Core™ i9-12900H, an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 Ti GPU, and 5200MHz LPDDR5 memory, this tablet packs plenty of gaming horsepower into an ultra thin and light chassis. These specs are further bolstered by 1TB of PCIe® SSD storage, a MUX Switch, custom vapor chamber cooling, and fast charging via USB Type-C.
The Flow Z13 features two display options: a 4K 60Hz panel with 85% DCI-P3 coverage, or a Full HD 120Hz option with 100% sRGB coverage. Both are 16:10 with Corning Gorilla glass protection on the touch screen, Adaptive-Sync, Dolby Vision HDR with 500 nits of brightness, and Pantone validation for accurate colors.
But here’s where things get interesting: this new detachable form factor is designed to be played multiple ways, from traditional mouse (using the included screen cover keyboard) to touch input or gamepads. And since all the powerful components lie behind the screen instead of under the keyboard, the ROG Intelligent Cooling solution gets plenty of fresh air for high sustained performance.
The Flow Z13 sports a retro-futurist design inspired by the 20th-century Space Race, but encompassing ROG’s vision for the future of gaming: go-anywhere portability. A CNC-milled window on the rear of the chassis allows a look straight into the machine’s mainboard, and the chassis is covered in spacecraft-inspired machining. The built-in kickstand can be opened up to 160 degrees for optimal usage in nearly any scenario. And like the ROG Flow X13, it’s compatible with the XG Mobile family of external GPUs.
