The ROG G1000 prebuilt gaming desktop brings hologram hype

The ROG G1000 is a behemoth prebuilt gaming desktop. Packing up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D alongside up to an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT or up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, it’ll crush your favorite games and then some. The G1000 comes with 2TB of storage out of the box and includes four M.2 slots should you want to upgrade storage down the line.

ROG G1000 KV

But the G1000 isn’t your average desktop PC. For starters, it sports a host of thermal optimizations to ensure its components stay healthy. The chassis' GPU and PSU sections are separated from each other, allowing each a designated supply of fresh air. An ROG AIO liquid cooler and 420 mm radiator keep the CPU cool, with the radiator and its fans segregated to their own ROG Thermal Atrium for ultra-effective compartmentalized cooling.

The G1000’s flashiest selling point, though, is its badass AniMe Holo feature, which illuminates the case's tempered glass side panels with full-color holographic projections. One lighting section on the side panel and two on the front allow you three spots for holographic images or animations of your choosing. Go with cool ROG imagery or bring your own visuals to the desktop for a truly personalized showstopper. Learn more about the ROG G1000 and its holographic wizardry here.

The ROG Cronox ARGB is your next big, bold gaming PC case

The ROG Cronox ARGB is our latest case for builders who like to assemble big PCs. It sports room for dual 360 mm radiators, supports graphics cards up to 400 mm long, and has a max CPU cooler height of 180 mm, meaning you can fit the components of your dreams with ease. Install up to four 120 mm fans across the bottom intake, in the side fan bracket, and up top for maximum cooling.

The ROG Cronox ARGB's aluminum-trimmed, tastefully accented frame effortlessly guides eyes toward the panoramic tempered glass side panel, where your components will be on full display. The case also packs an integrated 60 Hz LCD screen, giving you one more way to glow up and personalize your rig's internals. This LCD display can feature real-time system information, custom animations, ROG graphics, a clock that stays on even when the system's off, and much more.

We recommend pairing the ROG Cronox ARGB with our new ROG Eurux GR120 ARGB case fans. These 120 mm fans wield liquid-crystal-polymer blades and deliver up to 2600 RPM, pushing as much as 91 CFM of airflow with 4.6 mm H₂O of static pressure, making them perfect for heavyweight cooling duty. With three individually addressable lighting zones per fan, these spinners ensure your rig both looks cool and stays cool.

Take a sneak peak at the upcoming world of WiFi 8

WiFi 8 is still on the horizon — the standard is not expected to be finalized until late in 2028 — but we’re already hard at work to bring its advancements to your gaming rig. At CES 2026, we’re showcasing a WiFi 8 demo that we're calling the ROG NeoCore. The design and the technology are very much still under development, but we're moving in new directions on both fronts. The ROG NeoCore draws inspiration from the distinctive shape of an icosahedron (often known as a D20), using the prominent vertices as position points for internal antennas.

A view of the two units in the ROG WiFi 8 demo system

Judging by the draft specifications, WiFi 8 has a lot to offer in terms of reliable operation even in the most challenging of networking environments. But we're never satisfied with theoretical performance figures. To get a better look at what's coming down the road with WiFi 8, we designed a test WiFi 8 router based on the draft specifications and compared it to a WiFi 7 router with otherwise identical specifications. According to this test, WiFi 8 significantly boosts throughput by more than 10% compared to WiFi 7 without losing data speed.

Again, this is a demo unit based on a draft specification that isn’t expected to be ratified until 2028. As with previous generations of WiFi, full use of WiFi 8 will require a router and client that both support WiFi 8. Actual performance will vary by device and the environment, and some features of WiFi 8 are optional or dependent on the implementation. But even bearing those disclaimers in mind, there’s a lot to be excited about with WiFi 8. Click here to learn more about what's coming your way with WiFi 8
