Republic of Gamers Announces Claymore and ROG Claymore Core
The wait is over, today the ultimate gaming keyboard is announced. For the first time ever you can get an RGB keyboard with a detachable keypad for flexible placement and ROG Claymore comes in two flavors. For those of you who love plenty of macros or if you're an old school FPS (first-person shooter) enthusiast who still prefers to use a keypad on the left - your dream has come true. ROG Claymore is also available as an 80% TKL (tenkeyless - no keypad) for minimalists, ROG Claymore Core is perfect if that is you and the keypad is available separately in case you change your mind.
The award-winning design (2016 Red Dot and Computex d&i awards) features a stunning aluminium chassis with Mayan patterns consistent with other ROG products. Just as stunning are the German-made Cherry MX switches (Red, Blue, Brown and Black) with RGB LED backlights. Each individual key has independent lighting and features AURA SYNC so it's possible to have your ROG motherbaord, graphics card, case, keyboard and mouse all display AURA lighting effects in unison! The keyboard by itself offers nine different preset AURA effects, including Static, Breathing, Color Cycle, Wave, Ripple, Reactive, Starry Night, Quicksand, and a Custom Effect. One effect you ought to try is the one that reflects the CPU temperature. There are direct shortcuts on the keyboard so you don't need to get into the software if you don't want to.
ROG Claymore offers anti-ghosting keys with N-Key rollover ensuring all the keys you press register, and on-the-fly macro recording.
Beyond the looks and exceptional quality there are advanced features for gaming and hardware enthusiasts. The synergy of the ROG ecosystem lies in both the RGB lighting and also in operation, you now have supreme command over your PC like never before. You can instantly start your PC, jump straight into BIOS, clear the CMOS, overclock, control the fan speed and more without even reaching for the PC chassis.
The Claymore has built-in flash memory to store up to six user profiles (one default).
On the gorgeously-designed back, there are the height adjustable feet, cable routing grooves, detachable micro-USB port and large rubber feet for superior stability and grip.
