COMPUTEX 2016: ROG is Sold on Virtual Reality

Visitors to the ROG stand at COMPUTEX 2016 had the opportunity to see how ROG and Oculus worked together to create unprecedented gaming immersion this year. Indeed many places offered VR, but who has the most powerful gaming hardware and provided the perfect stage for you enjoy VR without whacking passers-by?  

Is VR a gimmick? First of all, if you're sold on it - it doesn't matter what people call it, does it? Second of all, if you actually tried it, your only word(s) to sum up the experience would probably be - mind...blown... 

In the standing area, Oculus Rift and Touch were demonstrated on the Oculus-Ready ROG G20 compact gaming desktop.

In the seated area, ROG offered Oculus Rift demonstrations powered by G20s and a special mod featuring the new ROG Strix X99 Gaming motherboard with SLI graphics.

The winners from the Join the Republic competition were flown to COMPUTEX 2016, went the ASUS headquarters and met the ROG team. Below they seem to be having a blast!

ASUS also wanted to make sure everybody can get a glimpse of future, and show that possibilities stretch far beyond gaming applications.
