Here's a breakdown of features behind the new Strix Pro gaming headset.

Strix Pro Features

It packs massive 60mm neodymium-magnets that deliver big sound. The cups fit over the ears, with the soft cushions providing comfort as well as keeping in the sound. The clamping force and cushion size is fine tuned.

The 90 degree ear cup fold means you can slip it neatly into a bag when you travel and the microphone is both detachable and flexible!

The 5-pole connector is compatible with normal devices like your smartphone, laptop or PC, however the extra grounding keeps the microphone fully isolated, avoiding cross-talk with the headphone channels. The Strix Pro can connect to the most popular gaming platforms; PC, console, tablets and smartphones. The long cables means you can sit at a comfortable distance from your PC or TV to watch a movie or game.

ENC

The dongle is more than just volume control; it includes a microphone that assesses background audio and isolates it from the microphone feed, cancelling it out.  For a gaming PC, typically the control hub can placed on the desk by the gaming keyboard, so it can easily isolate the sound type from the mechanical keys.

ENC Testing

With ENC enabled the Strix Pro isolates the most noise between 2-16kHz, as shown below, at 97% performance!

 Performance Measurements

Frequency response is better in low-frequency 20-1kHz, then high-frequency 4-20kHz.
