ASUS Breaks Record with 13 Wins at 2016 iF Design Awards

ASUS won 13 prestigious 2016 iF Product Design Awards, setting a new record number of wins for the company in a single iF Design Award competition. Spanning four product design categories — Computer, TV/Camera, Telecommunication, and Sports/Leisure — the award-winning products represent the ASUS commitment to design and engineering excellence.

iF Design Awards are recognized worldwide as seal of quality for products that excel in specific criteria including design quality, degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics and more. An independent jury of 58 experts from all over the world assesses products and selects winners.

ROG made its contribution with two of the awards. Here are the two award-winning product lines:

ROG GT51

The yet-to-be-released ROG GT51 first shown off at CES 2016 is a beastly gaming desktop boasts a liquid-cooled 6th-generation Intel Core i7-6700K processor with Turbo Gear for one-click 4-core CPU overclocking without rebooting, configured with up to the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X in 2-way SLI for 4K UHD gaming on multiple displays, two 512GB M.2 PCIe Gen. 3 x4 SSDs in RAID 0 (for speed) and 64GB of 2800MHz DDR4 memory.

ROG GT51 features an advanced thermal solution with 12-way airflow, comprised of a silent, liquid-cooling system for the CPU, isolated air flow for the power supply, and an internal air tunnel that draws cool air into the chassis to cool the graphics card, ensuring cool temperatures and system stability during marathon gaming sessions. In addition to extreme performance, ROG GT51 has an aggressive design with dynamic lighting effects that gamers can customize using a palette of up to 8-million colors to create their own unique avatar. The ROG BAND wearable accessory lets gamers automatically access Shadow Drive — their own hidden hard drive space that lets them manage personal confidential data safely — or activate overclocking. The included AEGIS II application lets gamers monitor system performance, record and edit gameplay with Gamecaster, and easily share their gaming experiences on social media.
