Get Ready For DirectX 12!
Microsoft has just launched its DirectX 12 landing page ahead of GDC on March 20th! You can also follow DirectX12 on twitter for updates @DirectX12.
This follows the recent reveal by the TechReport of GDC presentations, including "DirectX: Evolving Microsoft's Graphics Platform", "Direct3D Futures" (and the Mantle/DirectX alternative by Nvidia "Approaching Zero Driver Overhead in OpenGL"). The TechReport link is worth the read for more discussion on the anticipated relationship between AMD's Mantle, Nvidia's presentation and the future of DirectX.
