On the box you can get a preview of what the special-weaved premium cloth and the non-slip rubber base feel like.

Behold!  The GM50 Mouse Pad!

It's more than big enough so you don't run out of mouse pad  (380 x 280 x 3.5 mm).  And lies completely flat (no curling corner) after unrolling it, exxxxcellent.

The premium cloth feels.... premium; the surface is a nice balance between speed and control. The paralleled grooves are for accuracy and precision.

The maximum anti-slip capability of the rubber base is up to 0.7 (Pmax+ Pmin)/W, okay that's a little technical, just try placing your hand on the GM50 and try to move the pad, good luck moving it.

3.5mm of cushion will get you through a gaming marathon no worries.

You won't lose the mouse pad holder if it is a wristband.

Attention to every detail, even the lines are designed to resemble the ROG eye logo.  Not only do the polygonal corners look unique, they resist fraying and keep corners from curving up.  The threads are dual colors,  black on top and red on the bottom, all with a density of 11pins/cm², also helping keep the GM50 from fraying.  This was indeed made to be durable.

If you're serious, you have a cord on your mouse.  That doesn't mean you have to be hindered by the cord.
