Epic Mod:
The Keeper of the Strix is an original creation from Bob Stewart. He is an experienced modder whose reputation precedes him; he has a wide variety of builds, but we have the privilege of witnessing something dark from him for the very first time. His mission (yes, he chose to accept) was to transform a case into an ancient cage with the soul purpose of containing the dangerous Strix. With an insatiable thirst for blood, the cage with a barred window makes the Strix only visible.

Foundations
Bob used perforated aluminium sheeting which is lighter, and also easier to bend and screw wood onto.

The Strix Within
The shroud was sanded down, added a beak, and polished (for hours!).

A very Terminator-like finish.

Accessories
Spikes were hammered into the leather, and a bit of oil made them look old.

Rust
Hydrochloric Acid was used to turn shiny metal bits into rusty metal bits. CAUTION: It is an extremely dangerous material and can kill you if handled improperly!

Blending in
The GPU is the focus of the mod, so the RAM was painted textured black.
Window for the Strix

Set it on Fire

Despite the fire, the Strix remains unscathed and perfectly shiny
Hinges
New brass hinges were soaked in hydrogen peroxide and some vinegar. Then heated.
Eyes of the Strix
Brow area was painted black, added the nose, added "winged death" badge, painted the fan blades blood-red. and replaced all the original badges.
Halo LED mods inconspicuously hidden behind the fan blades.
Antique Padlocks
Genuine antique padlocks made over a century ago were used. Wow!
A Well-Traveled Cage
Through its journey around the world, it accumulated warning markings such as "Winged Death" from its days in Asia.
Prepare for Shipping
A crate was created to match, especially for the project. With heavy padding, it's ready to travel again.
Mission Accomplished
