ROG OC Showdown Round 3 is here and will be on from November 6th to December 7th. Again, great kudos and prizes are back and every participant has a chance to win, with 5 extra packs as giveaways. If you want to upgrade your motherboard to the new Z170 platform, warm up your rig and keep pushing it to join the final round of OC Showdown 2015!
Experience competitive Overclocking
Never tried overclocking before with an ASUS motherboard, or competitive overclocking? Here is your last chance in 2015 - test out your skills in ROG OC Showdown Round 3! It's a lot of fun, and you will be able to compare your rig with other enthusiasts. There are no limitations on which motherboard model, so grab your P2B, P5AD2 or even your ROG Striker Extreme and push the MHz. The competition is open worldwide, so it doesn't matter wherever you are, you just need an internet connection!
Formula Vs Extreme
ROG OC Showdown competitions are divided into two series: Extreme and Formula. The Formula Series is exclusively for people starting out with overclocking, and are limited to air and water cooling. Overclockers from Elite and Extreme Leagues at HWBOT aren’t allowed to compete in the Formula Series so as to make the competition exciting and fair.
Bench and submit your score!
Round 3 of the Formula Series is composed of three stages: XTU, Realbench and X265. To maximize your chances of winning, it is best is to submit in all three stages. In each stage, your score and ranking will be established against the other participants. You can refer to the rules and conditions of the competition here.
To win great kudos and prizes
For the Top 5 (yes, not only the top three!), some awesome hardware will be awarded as prizes: ROG Maximus Z170 motherboards, HyperX Predator DDR4, Intel Core i7-6600K CPU, Enermax AIO water-cooling and thermal grizzly paste. And for everyone who participates, there's a lucky draw for you to win one of the 5 packs of goodies each consisting of: an ROG OC Showdown T-shirt, HyperX 64GB USB key, mouse pad and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste. A full list of the prizes are listed on the competition page.
The overall winner for the ROG OC Showdown 2015 Formula Series will also be announced after the conclusion of the competition. He/She will be bestowed with a mystery prize, and declared the Best Formula Overclocker of 2015!
