March Forum PC Mods Roundup

Mar 31, 2013 Written by:ROG Article

We're back once again with the modding masters! Let's take a look at some of the best the modding forum has generated up this month. As ever, if you've seen a great mod - ping us a PM in the forums!

Onwards & Upwards:

Project Log The Parvum guys drop by to show the rest of us how it's done. There's plenty of detailed photos in here on their upcoming mod featuring a Rampage IV Gene, so sub it if you enjoy seeing detailed build logs. parvum-3 [gallery include="" size="medium" link="file" template="file-gallery" columns="2"]

Project Redefine 2.0

Project Log Mrrockwell's latest progress on his Fractal Designs Define case is below. It's looking great with the neat red and black theme inside-to-out, while attention to detail and unexcessive upgrades - like the red-line at the front  - neatly aligning with our SupremeFX! Nice! The fan cabling and redefine logos also have careful placement and are backed by red acrylic. A great technique. redefine [gallery include="" size="medium" link="file" template="file-gallery" columns="2"]

Project: 1949

Project Log Cygnitr0n's antique radio project got an update! A big fan and some PSU work. Slow and steady wins, yet, hurry up! We can't wait to see the end result of this wholly unique mod.

Project Enter_Prise

Project Log We featured MVIAN's Enter_Prise mod in a previous update, but, wow, we just had to drop this one post-finish update in because the TJ11 just got a new face.. I mean, fascia. project-enter_prise In truth though, that's not something I could have in the same room, watching me while I games/sleep...! Maximum skill meets maximum creepy. [gallery include="" size="medium" link="file" template="file-gallery" columns="2"]

8 Pack's mATX LAN Gaming Rig

Project Log It is another Parvum, although this is the extended version that fits a 3x120mm in the base, 2x120mm in the front and 2x120mm radiator in the roof. That's more chill than your freezer (or, just UK in spring as it happens) in a case half the size of your typical PC. In typical 8 Pack fashion the Maximus V GENE, Core i7-3770K and HD 7990 are overclocked for good measure, and we even get to see a bit into Overclockers HQ in the pics too! 8pack-lan-rig-4 [gallery include="" size="medium" link="file" template="file-gallery" columns="2"] Just one thing; you put it on the carpet! If you've never heard a hundred electrical engineers cry out in unison, like Jedi feeling a disturbance in the force, I'll try and record it just after I forward this picture to #ROG-RD. 8pack-lan-rig-carpet
