The ROG PC: Model 01 by Brodholm

At 34kg fully laden, Model 01 is an imposing monster of a mod, in both physical and emotive attributes. With – dare we say – a typically Nordic approach to minimalism that concentrates its focus on materials used in its large surfaces that are untouched but for the large ROG logo and baseline diagonal grills that draw focus. It’s on this thought that I reflect on the story of its creation - the numerous revisions over several years requires a distinct dedication and discipline to say no -  so the model is still '01'. Those who enjoy their cases with more flair and spice will argue it’s still a big, black and ‘featureless’ tower case, but the devil is in the details; in the cable routing and metallic tubing, the elegance of lighting and shadows (the excellent photography helps: take note, modders). Nothing is ‘too much’, but it’s certainly more than enough to satisfy. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s a mega ROG mod we’d all love to own. Be sure to click the links above if you desire more.
