AMD's A10-7850K Kaveri FM2+ APUs Due January 14th

AMD has released more details regarding its upcoming desktop 'Kaveri' APU lineup, including the flagship called A10-7850K and a launch date of January 14th. Current FM2+ motherboards including the ASUS FM2+ A88X and A55 chipset motherboards are already ready for it! In case you missed it before, AMD's Kaveri APUs will be based on 28nm architecture with new 'Steamroller' CPU core, Graphics Core Next (GCN) GPU architecture - which supports DirectX 11.2 and OpenGL 4.3 and Mantle API - and will be first APUs to support AMD's Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) enhancements and TrueAudio DSP. Further details on its new A10-7850K flagship APU included the reveal that it will be quad-core clocked a 3.7GHz with 4MB L2 cache, with 512 Radeon cores clocked at an impressive 720MHz for accompaniment. The GPU portion puts it in line with the Radeon HD 7750 PCI-Express card, while its maximum compute performance is able to attain a mighty 856 GFLOPS. During the event, AMD showed that the A10-7850K packs enough punch to run Battlefield 4 at 1920x1080 resolution with medium details at 28 to 40FPS. AMD stated that plans to release more details regarding its upcoming 'Kaveri' APU lineup during CES 2014 in January.
