ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces Horus GK2000
If you are the hunter and not the hunted, it's good to know ROG GK2000 is named Horus after the falcon god of war and hunting. Horus GK2000 is about speed and precision, just as the way a falcon operates. The sleek and stealth aesthetics combined with strength in the chassis forged from 3mm aluminium sheets result in the ultimate premium gaming motherboard. With a mixture of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) processed aluminium with a topcoat finish and anodized keyboard plate with a brushed finish, once you hold it and run your fingers over it, there won't be any doubt this is a high-quality keyboard you gotta have!
The software and technology within is just as impressive, ROG Horus GK2000 uses an embedded 32-bit MCU (microcontroller unit) and 4MB of onboard memory to process and store macro functions, lighting and profiles. Up to 80 macro functions are possible so the challenge now is to see if you can commit them all to memory. And up to 10 user profiles can be saved in the onboard memory. The keys utilize Cherry MX Red mechanical switches (50 million keystroke lifespan) with red LED backlight; you can choose one of five preset lighting modes to light up the keyboard. Alternatively, you can fully customize the lighting yourself, each individual key can be configured so you have the power to light up all of the keys or only the ones you choose! N-Key rollover technology ensures all the keys you press are registered, no matter how many you press, it has its own hotkey in case you want to turn it on or off in a hurry.
Horus GK2000 is much like a command center (with all the optional extras) where everything you need is at your fingertips. Dedicated multimedia keys, scrolling wheel for volume or lighting, a built-in audio port for gaming headsets, a removable palm rest, and even a detachable stand your mobile device! The stand can be placed either on the right or the left of the keyboard.
To let your friends and foes know you mean business, you can rock up with the Horus GK2000 inside an ROG custom-fit neoprene carry case which can also house other peripherals and accessories. What happens after that is entirely up to you...
