Here at ROG, we’re as excited as you are for the release of the latest installment in Activision’s extraordinary Call of Duty® franchise. Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 releases on October 12th, and we’ve already announced that we’re bundling the game with select ROG hardware, but we have something extra special for the most devoted fans of the franchise.

We’re collaborating with Intel and Activision on a line of limited-edition Call of Duty: Black Ops 4-branded ROG hardware. The line includes a full range of gear, so whether you’re in the market for a motherboard, monitor, GPU, gaming mouse, or even a complete system, we’ve got something for you. All of these products blend the ROG style with bad-ass Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 motifs for a totally unique look. They’re available in limited quantities and many are eligible for the soft bundle that includes download of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Standard Edition on PC with your purchase.

Leading the pack is the venerable ROG Strix GL12 Black Ops 4 Edition gaming desktop. Wrapped in a compact chassis, the GL12’s stealthy black theme is accented by Aura Sync lighting that highlights aggressive, angular lines for an ominous look. The Black Ops flavor of the special edition makes the GL12 look even cooler, with a bright orange emblem and accents on the front. The side panel is emblazoned with the Black Ops series skull and smoked, so you can see all of the computer’s internals as the Aura Sync RGB lighting glows from within, lighting up with coordinated effects for specific in-game events.

We developed the ROG Strix GL12 with the help of esports pros. It’s already proven its mettle in all of our favorite games, and this new version is packed with powerful hardware to deliver great performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. At the heart of the beast is Intel’s latest Core i7-8700K CPU. It’s liquid cooled and factory overclocked to squeeze out every drop of power possible. This is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GPU, which is based on NVIDIA’s newly announced Turing GPU architecture, and will ensure buttery smooth performance as you blast through a hoard of zombies or drop into Blackout. The ROG Strix GL12 Black Ops 4 Edition is up for pre-order in the United States starting today. Gamers can pre-order through ASUS and Newegg.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has a frenetic pace and your firefights deserve a monitor capable of keeping up. The ROG Swift PG258Q monitor features an insane 240Hz refresh rate as well as support for NVIDIA G-Sync for smooth visuals as you play. You can match the GL12 and PG258Q with an ROG Strix Flare mechanical keyboard and ROG Gladius II Origin gaming mouse for a completely Black Ops 4 branded setup. Both the ROG Strix Flare and Gladius II Origin support Aura Sync RGB lighting, allowing you to sync lighting with your other ROG peripherals and components. They’ll also let you experience the Aura Sync integration that’s been baked into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

The Flare’s customizable insert has been branded with the Black Ops 4 logo and the palm rest is stenciled with Specialists icons from Black Ops 4. The ROG Gladius II Origin gaming mouse replaces the ROG mask on the back with an RGB Black Ops 4 logo. The mouse features push-fit sockets with swappable switches and a 12,000-DPI sensor, so you can configure your trigger however you like. Paired with the extra-large ROG Strix Edge mouse mat, you’ll be ready for any firefight that comes your way. These peripherals won’t be eligible for a download of the game, but many retailers will be offering bundle deals where you get savings if you buy both the mouse and keyboard, so be sure to check with your local retailer to see if that’s something they’ll offer.

The best is yet to come

If you’re not in the market for a pre-built system or peripherals, we’ll have a host of other special edition Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 gear ready to roll out this fall, including some cutting edge components based on the newest technologies. Not only will we have a special version of our upcoming ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card, but we’ll have a brand new ROG Gaming motherboard based on Intel’s latest chipset, too. The ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 is a tri-band 802.11ax gaming router that was announced at Computex earlier this summer. It boasts a peak aggregate throughput of nearly 11,000Mbps across its three bands and will be draped in orange and black when it hits shelves later this year.

These special Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 versions of our ROG lineup will be rolling out throughout the fall, and all but the peripherals are eligible for the software bundle announced earlier this month. If you can’t wait for the special edition hardware to land, we have tons of ROG gear already available and also eligible for the bundle, including gaming laptops, motherboards, graphics cards, and monitors.

Get in the game

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 brings exciting new takes on zombie co-op modes and multiplayer, and also introduces Blackout, a brand new, highly anticipated battle royale mode. Developed by Treyarch and Beenox, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be the most robust, refined, and customizable PC shooter in the series, with uncapped frame rates, 4K resolution, HDR, support for ultrawide monitors, and other additional features built for the PC community. And, for the first time, Call of Duty is coming to Blizzard Battle.net with fully integrated Battle.net social features.

If you’re gaming on ROG hardware, there’s something special in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. ROG and Activision have teamed up to incorporate custom Aura Sync effects into the game, so when you’re playing, your RGB lighting will give you meaningful game indicators that are tied to the match. This includes a range of effects to signal changes in environment and offer crucial visual cues based on the in-game action. With rows of keys that change color when your health drops and switch off as your ammo runs low, you’ll be more in tune with the game and better equipped to handle high-stress situations.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on October 12. Gamers in the United States can learn more about our special edition hardware and see products eligible for the bundle here. If you're in Canada, you can see all eligible ASUS and ROG products here. For more on the redemption process, visit www.ROGxBO4.com.
