ASUS ROG Maximus V Formula: The Equation For World Record Domination!

Based on Intel Z77 technology and making the most of third generation Core processors like the more overclockable i7’s , the new Maximus V Formula has been racking up world performance records like there’s no tomorrow. Even though it’s only been around for a very short while, this board goes around shattering overclocking milestones left and right, giving fanatical performance seekers the platform they’ve been craving.

The new Formula’s world-record hammer has recently dropped on several new notable accomplishments, overseen by community-respected master tuners like Shamino, Andre Yang, and Fredyama-san. Together with speed-loving G.SKILL memory, these guys have achieved rather incredible RAM numbers. Who’d have thought a dense 16GB kit could go to 3320MHz?

Well, it’s in the books, right next to the new memory bandwidth world record of 32,339MB/s. Now that’s a lot of megabytes per second, we’re sure you’ll agree!

The zealous overclocking doesn’t stop at memory. The Maximus V Formula has also served as the enabler for three new global records in widely-accepted and demanding benchmarks. For 3DMark05, it clocked an amazing 66344 marks, placing it as the undisputed number one.

You want more? Unigine Heaven DX11 7943.57 smashes all previous records, and for the intense SuperPi 32M the board has set the new gold standard with 4 minutes and 44.734 seconds!

And Fredyama-san's SuperPi 32M triumph:

BUT HOLD ON! We just got word that our own ASUS Turkey team have used the Maximus V Formula to utterly destroy yet another world record. This time SuperPi 1M was on the block, with the new record set at 5 seconds and 172ms.  the team had an i7-3770K clocked at 6971MHZ, and you can see the HWBOT listing right here.  Our team is listed as Brandybuck!

They further added a couple overclocking videos you might want to check out on YouTube, showing the SuperPi 1M record and that near-7GHz i7:

So props to the Turkey team, we're all very proud of you!

And that’s how you build an overclocking legacy. The Maximus V Formula was designed and made to be a record-smasher, and it’s been doing quite well on this front so far, as you can clearly see.

Plus, don’t forget ASUS and ROG are hosting some of the world’s most ardent overclockers right at the heart of it all in the Taipei headquarters for a special power user gathering, so you may want to keep updated on that too.
