ROG OC Showdown & RealBench Challenge overclocking competitions are back!
In 2015 you might have participated to the ROG OC Showdown 2015 and the Beta Challenge based on the RealBench HWBOT Edition benchmark. A lot of nice prizes were up for grabs for both winners and lucky participants.
Till the end of 2016, both competitions are returning with exclusive prizes including the next-generation of ROG motherboards, so you will be among the first to receive the latest as they are released!
ROG OC Showdown 2016 - Formula Series
For the 2016 edition of ROG OC Showdown - Formula Series, the competition will be separated into two rounds with one month duration for each.
OpenBenchtable, Seasonic, Thermal Grizzly and der8auer are joining us as partners of the competition.
- Round 1 runs from August 26th to September 26th - Join now!
- Round 2 runs from October 28th to November 28th - Join now!
The competition invites members from the Rookie, Novice and Enthusiast Leagues at HWBOT to partipate using any ASUS motherboards on air/liquid-cooled rigs above 30°C in temperature.
Round 1 to kick off on August 26th
Overclockers will have to compete over three different stages (below) in order to accumulate the maximum points for the overall ranking.
Prizes, including ROG Strix X99 Gaming, ROG Maximus VIII Impact, Seasonic power supplies and Thermal Grizzly thermal paste will be awarded to the top three overclockers in the Round 1 ranking. Every participant will automaticaly be eligible for one of the three lucky draw prizes up for grabs.
Exclusive overall ranking prizes
The overall ranking will be calculated based on the sum of points from Round 1 and Round 2. The top three competitors will be rewarded with the next-generation ROG motherboard as well as a portable Open Benchtable (pictured below - left) and the latest Delid-Die-Mate tool to help you reach the maximum performance from your CPU.

RealBench Challenge 2016
RealBench Challenge is based on the new RealBench HWBOT Edition benchmark. The competition will consist of 4 different challenges over a period of 11 days each.
All leagues from HWBOT can participate, however it will be limited to air and water cooled rigs.
- Challenge I runs from September 2nd to September 12th
- Challenge II runs from September 30th to October 10th
- Challenge III runs from October 28th to November 7th
- Challenge IV runs from November 25th to December 5th
Similar to ROG OC Showdown - Formula Series, at the end of the four RealBench Challenges, the top three competitors in the overall ranking can win the exclusive next-generation ROG motherboard.
Challenge I starts on September 2nd
