ROG OC Showdown: Round 1 Results and Upcoming Overclocking Competitions
Round 1 of the ROG OC Showdown - Formula Series took place from August 26th to September 26th. A total of 248 overclockers joined the competition and pushed their overclocked systems beyond limits and establish themselves at the top of the rankings. Prizes are awarded to the top three as well as three lucky draw winners among all the participants, awesome prizes include ROG Strix X99 Gaming, Maximus VIII Impact, Seasonic PSU and Thermal Grizzly thermal paste.
ROG OC Showdown - Round 1 Results
After a month of intense competition, 248 overclockers took part in the online competition consisting of three different stages: XTU, GPUPi for CPU - 1B and HWBOT x265. Nik from Germany, IvanCupa from Indonesia and Ziken from France put themselves in the top three of the rankings.
During the competition, some additional points have been awarded to those in the top ten of the rankings on September 5th and 14th. Those points will be very valuable for the final overall ranking, the three top overclockers will receive the ultimate OC pack consisting of an ROG next-generation motherboard, an Open Benchtable and a Delid-Die-Mate Tool.
As runners-up, another three lucky winners received exclusive ROG Goodies packs including ROG Overclocking T-shirts!
Round 2 starts on October 28th
Be ready for Round 2 starting on October 28th and ending on November 28th. The points from the first and second round will be accumulated to get the final overall ranking which determines the ROG OC Showdown Formula Series 2016 Champion.
The competition will be hosted on oc-esports, and the rules will be announced on Tuesday 18th. For now, here is a glimpse of the Round 2 prizes.

- Challenge I runs from September 2nd to September 12th
- Challenge II runs from September 30th to October 10th
- Challenge III runs from October 28th to November 7th
- Challenge IV runs from November 25th to December 5th
