ROG Introduces The Maximus VII Hero, Maximus VII Gene And Maximus VII Ranger Gaming Motherboards

Here it is - what you've been waiting for! Your 2014 ROG Z97 upgrade! Well, maybe. There's even more to come at Computex in early June, but today we do have three new ROG Z97 boards: the Maximus VII Hero, Maximus VII Gene and the new brand: Maximus VII Ranger. Hero and Gene follow existing series' target users, giving an ideal ratio of price-performance-unique features for gamers in ATX and micro ATX. Ranger hits in as a high performance ROG product, with entry-level features aimed at select markets. We will detail all the boards separately very soon, but here's an overview of new tech:

  • Principally designed for Intel K series, including new Devils Canyon
  • Super sexy painted PCBs  (Hero and Gene) and 100% red-black design (all the white connectors are gone!)
  • Intel Gigabit Ethernet, LANGuard and GameFirst III - aka, the proven gaming solution
  • SupremeFX 2014 (Hero and Ranger), and SupremeFX Impact II (Gene)
  • KeyBot hardware IC for upgrading any keyboard
  • TrueVolt USB
  • Upgraded UEFI BIOS design and features
  • Upgraded software pack with unified ROG design
  • 10Gbps M.2 PCI-e SSD support
