We're regulars at PAX East. We count the days until the show, and we're always sad to pack up the booth and go home. The convention is way too short for our liking, so for 2019, we're getting the party started a bit early with a little help from our favorite booth buddies from last year.

We’re teaming up with our friends at Meta Threads to sponsor a new online tournament that will kick off well before we pack our bags for Boston. The Road to PAX East '19 Community Tournament will be Monday Night Meta and will see teams of three will battle it out in Apex Legends on March 18. The winning team will get 4-day passes to PAX as well as some sick ROG gear and Meta Threads apparel. We’ll be offering up ROG Delta headsets along with 1,000 ROG Elite Rewards points, and the winning team will also get a full gamer outfit and sling bag provided by Meta Threads. For Fortnite fans, a second tournament powered by Battlefy will give you a chance to win tickets to PAX as well as ROG Elite Rewards points and an ROG swag bag. There are two qualifying rounds scheduled for March 21 and March 22, and the final will take place on March 23. You can read all about the tournaments and sign up here.

Our real-life PAX party kicks off on March 28 and we’ll be there for the duration of the show, which runs through to March 31. We'll have some of the hottest ROG products on-hand for attendees who want a taste of the best tech that ROG has to offer, as well as esports stations where you can get your fix of Fortnite, Apex Legends, and COD: Blackout. If you’re more into mobile, we’ll have PUBG and Fortnite on the ROG Phone at its own dedicated station, so you can experience the glorious high-refresh AMOLED display, speed-binned Snapdragon 845 SoC, and programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers in person.

Our esports stations will be powered by a fleet of ROG Strix GL12s paired with the ROG Swift PG258Q, which is one of the most popular esports monitors thanks to its blazing 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. But there’ll be plenty of other ROG desktops on show besides the GL12, including the absolutely tiny ROG Huracan G21, with its innovative peel-back cooling panel. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the ROG GT51, which packs a powerful wallop to match its ominous design. Each desktop is, of course, paired with ROG peripherals, and the customizable ROG Strix Flare keyboard, the Fusion 500 headset, and the Gladius II Origin gaming mouse can all be synchronized so that their Aura Sync lighting matches up in perfect harmony.

The future is now

undefinedIt wouldn’t be PAX if we didn’t also bring a bunch of new gear for you to drool over, and this year we’ve gone all out. You definitely can’t leave the booth without checking out the ROG Mothership for a taste of the future of gaming. This yet-to-be-released monster machine spent three years in development and bucks the trend for standard desktop replacements with a groundbreaking design that squeezes a factory-overclocked Intel Core i9-8950HK CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU into its 17.3" 144Hz/3ms display. By putting all of the hardware inside the display, we were able to boost airflow to the overclocked components while also reducing the machine’s overall footprint. A detachable keyboards allows for more flexibility in how you set up for gaming on the go, or you can connect your favorite gaming keyboard and mouse for a totally tailored experience. ROG Mothership was announced at CES and is unlike any other gaming laptop around, so you won't want to miss your chance to get a gander in person.

If you prefer to kick it old school with a clamshell-style notebook, the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 is our latest ultra-slim gaming ultrabook and crams an Intel Core i7-8750H CPU and GeForce RTX 2080 graphics into a super thin magnesium-aluminum chassis that measures just 18.7 mm thick. Razor-thin bezels surround its 17.3" 144Hz/3ms display for a more immersive experience, and the forward position of the keyboard emulates your desktop keyboard while also leaving more room for the fans. While this laptop is made for gaming, the Pantone-validated display makes it ideal for creative pros, so it's got you covered for work and play.undefined

You can check out the Zephyrus S alongside the ROG Strix Scar II, our weapon of choice for esports players. Equipped with either a 17.3” or a 15.6” 144Hz/3ms display and decked out in Aura Sync RGB lighting, this laptop harnesses a Core i7-8750H from Intel and the latest RTX graphics to deliver competition-grade performance on the go.

There’s plenty for PC builders window shopping for parts for their next build, too. Our ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti graphics card will be on display alongside a host of ROG motherboards, the ROG Ryujin cooler, and our ROG Thor PSU. We’ll also have a complete contingent of partner builds to serve as inspiration for your next rig.

Gaming on any of the systems at our booth will earn you stamps on your passport, and completing all the activities listed will earn you swag from the event as well as an Elite Rewards card loaded with a hidden number of points that can be redeemed online at www.rogarena.com/rewards. This year we’re also bringing back the ROG Gear Shop with peripherals, apparel, and more. We’ll have special deals just for PAX with up to 30% off, so if you can’t bear to part with the Strix Flare after getting a taste at o our demo machines, you can get a deal on one to take home. We’ll also have offers for fans who aren’t able to attend. You can check those online deals out here.

PAX East runs from March 28 through to March 31 at Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC). We’ll be at booth #16001 right by the escalators. You can’t miss us, so come by and say hi!
